Jim Parsons is best known for his starring role as Dr Sheldon Cooper in the American sitcom The Big Bang Theory. According to an Instagram post by Parsons, Jim Parsons’ life began to change in November 2002 after he agreed to let his friend set him up on a blind date with Todd Spivak.

For the couple, the night was the first of many very successful dates and the dance became the catalyst for a good relationship. When Jim Parsons won his third Emmy in September 2013 for his portrayal of Sheldon Cooper, Parsons directed his acceptance speech to his “favourite man on earth, Todd Spivak”.
