ANDY HALLETT – CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE

Singer and actor Andy Hallett, who gained prominence for playing Lorne in the hit television series Angel, died from congestive heart failure in March of 2009. He was 33 years old then. Apparently, it was a dental infection that spread to his heart that was, to a huge degree, the cause for the heart problems he had been experiencing 5 years before his passing. Interestingly enough, his being cast into the role of Lorne reportedly happened accidentally.

The show creator, Joss Whedon, saw Hallet performing, of all places, at a karaoke bar, and got inspired to write up the part of a singing demon.
