GINA MASTROGIACOMO – MYOCARDITIS

American actress Gina Mastrogiacomo, who many might remember for her roles in The Color of Money and Goodfellas—two films for whose lead characters she played the love interest—died from myocarditis, a rare bacterial infection of the heart that causes inflammation, at the young age of 39. Not much is known about the actress since she only ever had minor roles in films. Her performance in the aforementioned films, however, was indeed memorable, and for that she deserves credit.

She worked as a model prior to getting into films and then was discovered by the great Martin Scorsese, who cast her in his films.
