DAVID GRAF – HEART ATTACK

Character actor David Graff, who will be known to many as the man who played the overzealous Sgt. Eugene Tackleberry in the Police Academy comedy film series, died from a heart attack in 2001. It was a little more than a week before his 51st birthday when the incident occurred, and he was attending his brother-in-law’s wedding in Arizona. There have been reports saying he was engaged in an eating contest before he suddenly collapsed, but the dearth of articles about it leaves us unable to confirm whether it’s true.

His other film credits include Citizen Ruth, The Brady Bunch Movie, and American Kickboxer 2.
