BRITTANY MURPHY – PNEUMONIA

Actress and singer Brittany Murphy, who gained prominence after her breakout role as Tai Frasier in the coming-of-age comedy film Clueless, passed away in 2009 from a cardiac arrest that was due to a combination of pneumonia and iron deficiency. She was 32 years old then. It was initially speculated that Murphy died from a drug overdose, but the coroner ruled her death as accidental. Oddly enough, Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack passed away a few months later from similar causes, leading some of Murphy’s family members to speculate both were victims of foul play.

Aside from Clueless, some of Murphy’s other film credits include Girl, Interrupted, 8 Mile, and Sin City.
