SUNNY JOHNSON — RUPTURED BLOOD VESSEL

Actress Sunny Johnson, who played Jeanie in the 1983 romantic drama film, Flashdance (which starred Jennifer Beals) didn’t come into mainstream consciousness to the same degree as other young stars of her time because she wasn’t in the industry for very long. However, her role in Flashdance was quite memorable, and she had landed roles in other movies as well like in The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia and Dr. Heckyl and Mr.Hype. Sadly, she was found unconscious in her boyfriend’s home at the young age of 30 due to a ruptured blood vessel in her brain.

Johnson fell into a coma as a result and died after she was released from life support.
