ALICE PLAYTEN – HEART FAILURE

Between Broadway and film, Alice Playten’s career was certainly prolific. She has starred in some of the most popular and beloved theatre productions, including Henry, Oliver!, Seussical, Hello Dolly!, Caroline, and Change. The actress has also done a number of off-Broadway performances, which boosted her acting credit. Eventually, she would start landing roles in films. In 1979, she joined the cast of California Dreaming. She was also in Amityville II: The Possession, providing the terrifying voice for the Demon character.

All her life, Alice struggled with juvenile diabetes and was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The actress passed away in 2011, primarily due to heart failure.
