NELSAN ELLIS – CONGESTIVE HEART FAILURE

Fans of the HBO series, True Blood, will remember Nelsan Ellis for portraying the colorful character Lafayette Reynolds on the show. The actor was able to give justice to the TV adaptation of the beloved book character, making him an instant favorite for many. In fact, his work didn’t go unnoticed by the press either. He won numerous accolades for his performance.

In the film industry, we know him best for appearing in the James Brown biopic, Get on Up. Nelsan’s final film credit was in True to Game, which was released posthumously. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 39.
