LEONARD NIMOY – SMOKING-RELATED ILLNESS

Leonard Nimoy’s passing was mourned by Star Trek fans from around the world. An outpouring of tributes came, including getting an asteroid named after him: the 4864 Nimoy. He touched and inspired people through his role as Spock, so when he retired the character in 2010 to pass on the baton, many were saddened. Outside of acting, he was also able to show off his talent in other ways—he is a known lover of photography, an author, and singer. He has also received credit as a voice actor.

He passed away in 2015 at the age of 73 years old.
