TEENA MARIE – NATURAL CAUSES

Her unique vocals, charisma, and innate talent helped turn Teena Marie into a star and is remembered by fans and her contemporaries as the Ivory Queen of Soul. Teena’s distinct sound is credited to her skill as a multi-instrumentalist; she was able to play the congas, the keyboards, and the rhythm guitar. Unlike other artists, Teena is very hands-on when it comes to her music—she writes, sings, arranges, and produces each of the singles. No wonder she’s received Grammy nominations three times!

Much to the grief of the industry and her fans, Lady Tee passed away in 2010 due to natural causes.
