Nicolas Cage | Haunted Mansion in New Orleans

Nicolas Cage, also known as Nicolas Kim Coppola, is an award-winning actor known for doing extraordinary roles on-screen. It is not a surprise that the 64-year-old actor lives an unconventional lifestyle that included buying Lalaurie House, a famous haunted mansion. He bought the mansion with the intention to write a horror novel, but the novel did not materialize. We can say that it is a unique investment, something only someone as eccentric as Cage will make.

The popular troubled house in New Orleans was originally owned by Dr. Louis LaLaurie and socialite Madame Delphine LaLaurie. The establishment was where Madame Lalaurie brutally tortured her slaves. Nicholas bought the home where monstrous murders happened in 2007 for $3.45 million. He lost it to foreclosure in 2009 and it was purchased by Regions Financial Corporation from an auction. The mansion has been featured on different shows and television thrillers like America‘s Most Haunted Homes.
