The Most Expensive Team Vehicle | Mark Cuban’s Boeing 767-277 | $144.1 Million

For his first attempt at starting a business, 12-year-old Mark Cubanwas selling garbage bags so he could buy his favorite pair of basketball shoes. Along the way, he also sold stamps, coins, and published his own newspapers before he even got his Bachelor of Science degree in Management. Since then, he has invested in more than a few companies and startups, including the film industry’s Magnolia Pictures.

Besides earning an impressive net worth of $4.3 billion, Cuban also landed a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for making the largest single e-commerce transaction to date. In 1999, he purchased, via an online platform, a Boeing 767-277 for a price of $144.1 million. He then added a few customizations to the aircraft, with the most notable one being its now-larger seats – perhaps to ensure his team, the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, a more comfortable ride throughout the trip.
