DAVID GILMOUR’s YACHT | $3.2 Million
David Gilmour is widely known for being a member of the hugely successful rock band Pink Floyd, where he was renowned for his guitar skills and occasional vocals. In fact, he is considered by many as one of the greatest rock stars of all time. Together, the band produced bestselling albums worldwide such as The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals, and The Wall. By the end of the 1980’s, they were given credit as one of the most acclaimed acts in the history of rock music. In 2011, Rolling Stone magazine ranked Gilmour as 14 in their list of the greatest guitar players of all time.
It’s common to see rock stars enjoying wild and lavish lifestyles and Gilmour is certainly one of them. He owns a gorgeous luxury yacht called Astoria, which is usually moored on the River Thames in London. The yacht was built in 1911 for the purpose of having a ninety-piece orchestra fit to play on its deck. This 88-foot yacht has three large cabins and a recording studio, which is what Gilmour uses it for. In fact, the boat was where Pink Floyd recorded many of their highly-acclaimed albums. We don’t see him retiring anytime soon, so he must be up to something again.
