Lionel Messi

Born as Luis Lionel Andres Messi, Lionel is recognizable as one of football’s greatest athletes. Lionel plays as a striker for FC Barcelona and represents his home country, the Argentina National team. As a young boy, Messi suffered from a hormone deficiency that affected his growth. He was required to take hormone injections every night, but it was quite expensive for his parents. When he was 13, Messi received a chance to train with La Masia, FC Barcelona’s youth academy—they also agreed to shoulder the young boy’s medication. From there, the Messi family packed up and settled in Spain.

As one of the footballers who has the most goals in history, Lionel had received generous sums of money. One of Lionel’s investments in 2020 is a home in Barcelona where his backyard has a luxurious swimming pool, a mini football pitch where he can train, a garden dining area, and a playground for his children.
