Before we had Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka, people from the ’60s and ’70s had Billie Jean King, who was the former World No. 1 professional tennis player. King’s tennis record is hard to beat. She completed what they call the Triple Crown at Wimbledon, meaning she won women’s doubles, mixed doubles, and singles titles in the same year.

Also, she is the recipient of many accolades, and she has won a total of 39 Grand Slam titles(12 in singles, 16 in women’s doubles, 11 in mixed doubles ), among many other awards.
