Robert William Barker is a retired longest-running TV game show host of The Price is Right. He worked on it from 1972 to 2007. He was born on December 12, 1923, in Darrington, Washington, and spent several years in Rosebud Indian Reservation in Mission, South Dakota. For the call of patriotism during World War II, Bob left Drury University, formerly known as Drury College, to serve the US Navy as a fighter pilot. When the war concluded, he pursued and later finished his degree in Economics graduated Summa Cum Laude.
After his wife Dorothy Jo Gideon, whom he married in 1945, passed away in 1981, Barker never went to marry someone again. He spent most of his prime with the show and as an animal activist who’s known for donating millions to various organizations that help the helpless creatures.
