BARBARA WALTERS – EST. $170 MILLION

Barbara Walters has been the face of several TV shows, including 20/20, The View, and the ABC Evening News. Like others who were only starting, Walters began her colorful career as a writer and researcher for The Today Show in 1961 until she became its co-host in 1974. Walters even made history, being the first woman who co-hosted an American show at the time. In 1976, she made another record when she became the first woman to co-anchor an evening news program.

Aside from hosting, Walters is also known for publishing great books. The seasoned journalist had made a major investment after she wrote a magazine article in the late 60s about How to Talk with Practically Anybody about Practically Anything and Audition: A Memoir. She published a book based on its content with help of June Callwood. At 90, Walters is already retired and probably enjoying her $170 million net worth.
