JOHN D. ROCKEFELLER – $340 BILLION

John D. Rockefeller needs no introduction. He was born in Ridgeford and the son of an unlicensed doctor of medicine and a devout Baptist. He was a business magnate and philanthropist who turned his $4,000 investment into the biggest fortune in modern human history. He used his little money to invest in an oil refinery, and it was a huge success. This gave Rockefeller $340 billion net worth, which made him the richest American of all time and wealthiest human in modern history.

Thanks to his company, Standard Oil, it eventually came as a”world-dominating” monopoly. Although this name didn’t ring a bell today, it was because it was already broken into dozens of companies, like Sohio, ESSO, SoCal, which later emerged into BP, Exxon, and Chevron, respectively. With his incredible business knowledge, Rockefeller owned 25% of the Standard Oil monopoly and maintained to have ownership of each of its new company.
