HARRISON FORD – EST. $230 MILLION
Actor, aviator, and environmental advocate, Harrison Ford, who gained prominence after playing Han Solo in the first Star Wars trilogy and gained even wider prominence after playing Indiana Jones in George Lucas’ Indiana Jones film franchise, is reportedly worth $230 million. Interestingly enough, Ford was a struggling actor who supplemented his income by doing carpentry prior to his success. He was discovered by George Lucas, who gave him a role in the film American Graffiti (1973) and eventually cast him for both Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
By the early ‘80s, Ford, to his credit, was already able to establish himself as one of Hollywood’s leading actors. Ford has made seven of the top 30 highest-grossing films of all time, with the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises taking a combined $3 billion at the box office, which created a record never seen before or since. Undoubtedly Ford became the highest-grossing Hollywood movie star of all time.
