Richard Dean Anderson – 71 – $30 Million
American actor and television producer Richard Dean Anderson launched his acting career in the 1970s before becoming a TV icon throughout the next two decades. The 71-year-old actor is widely known for portraying the lead character in the TV series MacGyver and Stargate: SG-1. He earned acting credits in all 139 episodes of MacGyver and 173 out of 214 episodes of Stargate: SG-1. He also served as the show’s producer and starred in Stargate spin-off series and a few other high-profile movies.
Playing the role of MacGyver took up all of the actor’s time in its seven-year run, and because of that, he only had little time for other projects. For his work in Stargate SG-1, he was enthusiastic about the series but requested that he be given creative freedom, especially when adding comedic moments and following the format of an ensemble cast.
