Barbara Walters – 92 – $170 Million

Even at a young age, Barbara Walters was already well accustomed to life under the spotlight. This is thanks to her father, who had a career in show business. With that said, after finishing her studies with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, she wasted no time in starting her professional career. Following her year-long tenure working for an advertising agency, she found more behind-the-scenes work, notably as a producer for a children’s program called Ask the Camera.

Nowadays, though, it’s safe to say that Walters has become more well-known for her career in the world of journalism. Highly praised for her interviewing style, she has had the chance to work on shows such as The View, ABC Evening News, and Today. After a career spanning more than six decades, Walters finally retired in 2015. Since then, the Television Hall-of-Famer has opted for a more low-key lifestyle.
