Singer, songwriter, composer and pianist, Billy Joel started to practice piano at age of four. Despite his father left his mother when he’s seven, Joel had never given up his love for music. He made an appearance in 1968 as a folk singer who played and sang himself. He is also commonly referred to as the “Piano Man” because of his uncanny ability behind the piano, which is reportedly worth $225 million.

It’s not entirely surprising that Billy “the Piano Man” Joel is worth this much since he’s one of the most successful musicians in history who’s had a decades-long career that’s raked in millions of dollars throughout the years. Interestingly enough, Joel was said to have started playing the piano at 14 years of age and played at bars at a young age to support his single mom. Well, to his credit, his days of struggle are long gone, because now he’s worth a quarter of a billion dollars.
